If there is a little New Zealand in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it would be this place, a lake located on the mountain Vranica near Fojnica. The place is incredibly reminiscent of the greenery and magic of New Zealand, and perhaps the fictional Shire, which we saw in the movie Lord of the Rings.
In the far south of Bosnia and Herzegovina lies a city with 260 sunny days a year, Mediterranean climate, good people and excellent wine - Trebinje. When you come to Trebinje, my suggestion is to start the tour from what I call the "postcard of Trebinje", and that is the bridge of Ivo Andrić, which is located in the city center.
The National Museum, for which we can certainly say is the largest museum institution in our country. Not only that, the National Museum is the oldest cultural and scientific institution of the modern type in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The building in which it is located today was built in 1913, according to the project of Karl Paržik.
After refreshing yourself with the local fruit and juice, you will step into a real journey to the Museum of Cultural Heritage because Počitelj is indeed the primordial historical treasure of our country. I doubt anyone remained indifferent to its beauty and uniqueness.
At foothills of Grmeč, not far from Lušci Palanka, where, in my subjective experience, life seems to have stopped somewhere in the 1990s, and the consequences of the war visible as if it ended yesterday, there is an unusual phenomenon and a place equal to those from Tolkien's book, popularly known as Bobijaško oko. It is a natural phenomenon known as estavelle.
